Jakarta police launch hotline to fight illegal online lending
TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Jakarta Police have opened a special hotline for the public to forward complaints related to illegal online lending via SMS or WhatsApp.
The National Police, through its Criminal Investigation Division and elements of the Regional Police, are launching a massive crackdown on illegal online lending, as ordered by President Joko Widodo.
In reference to Tribratanews.polri.go.id On Thursday, October 28, 2021, the Jakarta Police Cyber Team opened a special victim helpline in its jurisdiction. The helpline is facilitated by the Special Crimes Directorate of the Jakarta Police Department.
As written on the Instagram account @siberpoldametrojaya, the police urge victims to immediately report such cases. Victims and people in general who are aware of the location or bureaus of illegal online lending, especially within the jurisdiction of the Jakarta Police Force, can forward the information through the hotline number.
The number is 081191-110-110, accessible by phone call or WhatsApp. Reports can also be made by direct message to Instagram @siberpoldametrojaya or by SMS or WhatsApp to 0812-1001-9202.
