Rotorua bank hack victim gets refund but wants to ‘do more’ to protect customers

A Rotorua woman who feels ‘angry and violated’ after her bank account was hacked, with $755 in online purchases made, has gotten all her money back.

However, Lyn Maner said more was needed

“We work with global software and payment partners who have built-in fraud and security practices, which they continually review and update to ensure customers are protected from fraudulent activity. We only store never credit card details on our system.”
